We Just Added 27,000 IT Jobs from Switzerland

Switzerland runs on IT consultants. We integrated JobCloud and found a market worth paying attention to.

TL;DR: We just added 27,000+ IT jobs from Switzerland. Here's what we found when we got there.

Sweden is competitive. You know this.

The Nordic IT consulting market is well-indexed—hundreds of brokers, platforms, and company portals all chasing the same pool of talent. Most assignments get filled before they leave the front page.

So we started looking at Switzerland.

Why Switzerland

Switzerland runs on IT consultants. Banking, pharma, logistics, manufacturing—every sector here runs massive technology programs and relies heavily on external contractors. Zurich alone rivals Stockholm for IT consulting demand.

The difference: the Swiss market is fragmented in a different way. Most opportunities sit across three main platforms that cover the German, French, and Italian-speaking regions separately. Once you know where to look, the volume is striking.

What we found

We integrated with JobCloud, Switzerland's largest job platform network, which covers:

  • jobs.ch — ~13,000 IT assignments (German Switzerland, primarily)
  • jobscout24.ch — ~12,000 assignments (broad Swiss coverage)
  • jobup.ch — ~3,000 assignments (French-speaking Romandy)

Combined: over 27,000 live Swiss IT assignments, now searchable alongside Nordic opportunities.

The data

Swiss IT pay looks different on paper. Hourly rates in CHF are high—but purchasing power parity and Swiss living costs mean the gap with Sweden is narrower than it seems.

What is materially different:

More onsite requirements. Swiss banks and pharma firms enforce strict security policies. Remote-friendly roles exist, but full-remote is less common than in the Nordics.

Higher specialization demand. SAP, COBOL, Temenos, SWIFT—legacy finance stacks are very much alive in Switzerland. If you have niche expertise, Switzerland will pay for it.

Language mix. ~70% of roles list German as a requirement. French requirements dominate Romandy. English-only roles cluster in international firms (Google, UBS Global Markets, etc.).

What this means for you

If you work in finance technology, pharma IT, or have German-language skills, Switzerland is now one search away. We index and refresh the same way we do Nordic data—hourly updates, duplicate detection, and clean descriptions.

Filter by country to narrow your search. The location hierarchy covers all major Swiss cantons.

We expanded to Switzerland as part of our broader goal: putting the entire European IT consulting market in one place. Nordic markets remain our core. We're adding where the signal-to-noise ratio is high enough to be useful.
